Key Programs- Forest Training and Management Institute foundation laid in Jaipur. <br> - Eco-tourism introduced in Sitamata Wildlife Sanctuary and electric golf carts in Keoladeo National Park and Nahargarh Biological Park. <br> - Soil Health Card and CRESEP logo unveiled. <br> - DG-Forest App launched for transparency. <br> - Kits distributed to Vanmitras; women forest personnel honoured.
International Forest Day- Originated as "World Forestry Day" in 1971 by FAO. <br> - Formally recognised by UN General Assembly in 2012. <br> - Theme for 2025: "Forests and Food".
Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary- Located in Aravalli hills, 20 km from Jaipur. <br> - Named after Nahargarh Fort built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. <br> - Covers 720 hectares. <br> - Home to Nahargarh Biological Park known for lion safaris.
Flora & Fauna (Nahargarh)- Flora: Dry deciduous forests, scrublands, grasslands. <br> - Fauna: Leopards, wild boars, deer, lions, tigers, sloth bears, peacocks, owls, eagles, Indian rock pythons, monitor lizards, frogs, toads.
Keoladeo National Park- Wetland and bird sanctuary in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. <br> - UNESCO World Heritage Site and Ramsar Site (1981). <br> - Currently in Montreux Record. <br> - Home to 365+ bird species, including Siberian crane. <br> - Rivers: Gambhir and Banganga.
